Authors and books they mention
Find literary agents by the authors and books they mention
Phrasemill lets authors find literary agents by the authors and books those agents mention on their public websites.
The chart below ranks those mentions. Use an author or book you would treat as a comparable for your manuscript, and see which agents have named that work when describing what they want — including titles they say they have enjoyed, not only books labelled as comparables.

What counts as a match
A row means an agent’s or agency’s public site named that author or book while describing what they want. That includes “in the vein of,” “something like,” and personal reading (“loved reading,” “recent favourites”). It is not a claim that every agent labelled the work as a comparable title, and it is not an algorithmic “similar agents” list.
Where the evidence comes from
The same crawled agent and agency websites as the rest of Phrasemill: bios, submission pages, FAQs, and wishlist pages. We do not use interviews, MSWL feeds, deal databases, or deal announcements as the source of these mentions.
How often this is refreshed
Source pages are recrawled about once a week. When an agent updates their site, the change typically shows up after the next weekly pass.
How this sits beside genre search
Genre pages group agents by what they say they want in category terms. This chart is another window on those same websites: authors and books they mention. Neither replaces the other.
